PROCEDURES/PROTOCOL
Teleclasses should be conducted in a respectful and courteous manner to encourage best learning. If you are new to teleclasses, relax and expect a unique and satisfying experience. Know that your instructor is knowledable in both the subject matter and group management.
When you register and pay, the bridge line and a welcome will be e-mailed to you.
Please observe the following protocol and anticipate a respectful learning environment:
- Quiet any background noises
- Call from a land line; cell phones, speaker phones, and computer-based telephones mess up the bridge line
- Disable your call-waiting* by calling #43# before dialing the call. If left on, it can disable a bridge line for days.
- If you have a two-line phone, disable the ringer.
- Corded land-based phones are fine. You can also use a quality cordless land-based phone preferably 900+mghz, and keep it close to the base unit. Otherwise, you'll cause static on the line.
- Please announce when you arrive on the call, "Hello, this is Brian"
- Please announce when you are ready to participate
- Please join in at the level you're comfortable with.
- Be respectful of the instructor and of everyone's time and participation, i.e., don't hog air time
- Please stay focused on the group topic
- Be courteous, respectful and practice your Emotional Intelligence
- Please say "good bye" when you leave the call.
Do not record the class. We prefer to keep attendance at a class a live, unique, interactive experience. Feel free to take notes during class. If handouts are available, they will be emailed to you. We do not give you permission to record.
The class can be recorded by the Teleclass leader who will inform you prior to the class.
